About our Restaurant
Lily's Salvadorean Restaurant & Bar brings you the wonderful flavors of EL Salvador in a beautiful setting just off of the West Seattle Avalon St exit. For over 10 years Lily has been selling her golden brown crispy pupusas, meat stuffed chiles rellenos and refreshing Salvadorean style horchata from the early days at the farmer's markets to later running a successful food cart and feeding thousands of happy customers. Like the food cart, our restaurant serves various types of pupusas (jalapeño and cheese and pork, to name a couple) also pork, chicken, and corn tamales, but there are some new dishes as well. The chiles rellenos on the menu, unlike the Mexican version, which is filled with just cheese, are stuffed with pork or chicken with green beans, carrots, potatoes, and mushrooms. The Salvadoran carne asada plate has thicker cuts than those at most Mexican restaurants and is served with chorizo sausage, fresh cheese, rice, beans, and avocado. And she’s still serving the Salvadoran-style horchata, called horchata de Morro, which is made with ground peanuts, sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, cinnamon, and rice, among other ingredients and has a rich toasty, nutty flavor. Come over and visit us, our goal is to make sure you leave happy and glad you tried our food because it's made from the heart. Hope to see you all soon!
